Project Overview

We are seeking a skilled volunteer to undertake the critical task of crafting a comprehensive business plan for Great Opportunities (greatopps.org), a nonprofit organization dedicated to programming for underserved youth. This project demands someone with expertise in strategic planning, financial analysis, and a passion for youth empowerment.

The volunteer will play a pivotal role in outlining our goals, along with developing strategies for sustainable growth and impact measurement. By meticulously detailing operational frameworks, budget considerations, and potential funding avenues, this business plan will serve as our roadmap, guiding us toward effectively addressing the unique needs of underserved youth through tailored programs and initiatives.

Great Opportunities opens the door for underserved youth to increase their knowledge about their aquatic environment, grow their life skills, and experience leadership through swimming, beach programs, environmental awareness, and transportation.

Over 3000 youth, ages 4-18, have opened the door of “possibilities” through GO’s programs. Participating youth expand their knowledge of, competence in, and exposure to aquatic environment experiences, and are empowered to develop leadership and problem-solving skills that integrate the importance of community service.

Great Opportunities commits to providing essential information for strategic planning and financial analysis, including operational expenditures, budget considerations, and potential funding sources. The resulting business plan will serve as a roadmap, guiding efforts toward effectively addressing the distinctive needs of underserved youth through tailored programs and initiatives.
