Project Overview

We seek a volunteer with experience in setting up bookkeeping systems and software, particularly QuickBooks, from scratch!

You'll assist us in establishing regular recording, reconciliation, and reporting practices, dedicating 20-25 hours over 4-5 weeks. During our first meeting, we'll provide a detailed overview of our current financial record-keeping and reporting systems. In phase one of the project, you'll migrate our data to the new software and help us set up account administrator privileges for our users. In the second phase, you will train one or two of our team members in the basics of the new system. Additionally, we request that you be available for up to two weeks afterward to address any questions as we adjust to the latest software and processes. Your expertise will significantly enhance our nonprofit's agricultural and environmental initiatives.

We've taken several preparatory steps for the project to ensure its success. Firstly, we have Quickbooks to streamline our financial processes. Although we've had basic training, we've also extensively reviewed the software's guidelines for managing the system and generating basic reports. Our executive director will also oversee the volunteer and the project, ensuring smooth coordination and effective communication. Once the project is complete, we plan to implement the new system by migrating our existing data and setting up user accounts with appropriate privileges.
