We seek a mobile developer to use Flutter to assist with feature development for a telehealth/medical education app.

The app will contain features such as a AI chatbot, telehealth scheduling, symptom questionnaires, and real-time webscraped clinical trials database. The deliverable is one or more of these completed features implemented within our existing app.

The app is designed to educate and empower patients with neurodegenerative disorders with patient education, symptom tracking, and provider report generation. Our team works with multiple physician experts and patient advocacy groups, who can attest to the significant impact this project promises to have.

Our work will take place over multiple meetings in six to nine weeks. In our first meeting, we will go over the existing app infrastructure, desired features to be implemented, our capabilities, and our technical expertise. We'll engage in various check-ins, where a member or members of our team will provide feedback.

Familiarity with programming in Dart (especially), or more common languages such as Python or Javascript is ideal, and familiarity with other technologies used such as Google Cloud, Firebase, Gemini API, Flutter would be helpful.

This project revolves around creating an app that will create an instrumental positive impact in the lives of patients and families impacted by neurodegenerative disorders. Many times, when patients are met with a difficult and confusing diagnosis with a neurodegenerative disorder, finding reliable, demystified information to make sense of the diagnosis is very difficult! In addition, neurodegenerative conditions can make it difficult to have regular attention by a provider in the difficult stages of a disease. This app aims to bridge key problems faced by neurodegenerative patients, including: information overload, limited access to expertise, inconsistent symptom tracking, and lack of centralized resources.

With cutting edge features and collaborating with physician and patient advocacy experts, this project promises enhanced patient education and expert services. It is also a great opportunity to leverage technologies such as google cloud, firebase, and generative AI for a social impact venture.

We are prepared to brief the volunteer with our existing app infrastructure, plan for new feature implementation, branding norms, target audience, goals, and technologies. We will deploy the app on ios and android for use by patients and experts.
