Project Overview
Generation O is looking for 20 available grants in Las Vegas, Knoxville, Tampa or Nationwide. Grant funders/foundations must be interested in supporting opioid-exposed children and the work our organization is doing to support these children, their families and their communities. By locating opportunities, and providing up-to-date contact information, you will set us up for the next step, grant writing.Generation O, The National Organization for Opioid-Exposed Children, is a first of it's kind, brand new nonprofit organization. We are striving to support the hundreds of thousands of children affected by prenatal opioid use. While our current founding members are passionate volunteers, we will only be able to increase our size and impact with funding. If this is something you are skilled in, your assistance could help us find our first grant. At this time, I have accessed the Foundation Directory at a local University library. It appears to be a valuable tool, but someone more familiar than me will find grant-makers interested in our cause much more quickly than I can.
We are hoping to locate open grants we can apply for as well as funding organizations that we may appeal to even when applications are not being sought.
Some education on overall processes in the grant world would also be helpful to us.
