Project Overview

We are establishing/designing/launching our Human Resource program or department within Boy With a Ball, a growing international youth development organization that launches youth as change-makers who ignite citywide movements to transform hurting neighborhoods.

Our headquarters is based in Duluth, GA and includes both onsite, remote and regional staff. We need to build out every aspect of how we will build departments, define job descriptions, develop salary matrices, employment records, evaluation plans and the rest. While we do have many pieces in place, we will need to build this area out and then define a job description for a Human Resources Director position that we will hire next year.

Boy With a Ball is an international nonprofit membership organization that launches youth as change-makers who ignite citywide movements to transform hurting neighborhoods including slums, refugee camps, and schools. We are growing from 12 to 30 cities by 2030 and launching into a time of rapid scaling alongside a three-year capacity-building campaign. As we will be hiring staff to our headquarters in Duluth, GA (Atlanta metropolitan area), we will be expanding our staff both onsite, remotely and regionally across the world and now need to craft a comprehensive, high impact human resource program to support this expansion. This will include designing every aspect of our HR approach and then to set out a profile of the person we will need to hire in 2025 as our HR Director.

Boy With a Ball has worked over the last two decades to put many pieces in place around Human Resources including a HR manual, an employee manual, code of conduct, and a focus on OKRs. What we are looking for here is to review each of these pieces alongside our strategic plan and values to build out a way forward that will help us maximize our global impact. We have our Chief Executive Officer, our Chief Operating Officer and our board ready to support this process and to help us prepare to hire an individual to run this program who will be supervised by the COO.
