Project Overview

RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH...Seeking to engage a volunteer who can address the necessary research needed to secure the interest and support of 15 to 20 prospects- individuals and/or organizations positioned to extend grants and/or funding to expand our ongoing STEM-centered educational programs.
We welcome the support of individuals passionate about making a difference and driving change for at-risk students attending public schools within an underserved community. Your engagement will equip us with the resources essential to expand our programmatic efforts and create the capacity to realize meaningful educational and life success for a too-often discounted population.

At this point in our development, we welcome the opportunity to work with a volunteer who can help us identify individual or organizational supporters who share a commitment to driving meaningful, lasting, and empowering educational change. With your help, the NSSA can secure greater access to funding resources, which will enable us to expand our efforts to provide quality programmatic access to students living in the targeted underserved community.I will work directly with the individual to move this extremely important effort forward. Over the prior years of our existence, we have secured funding for our programmatic efforts from a small collection of organizations and companies. We seek to expand our network of supporters who share our passion and can help us expand support from a funding perspective.

Nonprofit Overview

Our mission is to introduce the marvels of science to children on a systematic, frequent and regularly scheduled basis, enabling underserved and at-risk students to experience, explore and personalize the resulting discoveries. Our technology and science center will be deeply embedded in the community, embraced by school district leadership and freely available to children, parents and teachers alike. While we will maintain a special focus on children attending public schools in Mt. Vernon, the center will welcome all children from the county, state and region
