Project Overview

We're looking for a volunteer with experience setting up QuickBooks Online from scratch!
You'll help us set up regular recording, reconciliation, and reporting practices by spending approximately 20 hours with us over 4-6 weeks.

In our first meeting, we'll share a detailed description of our existing financial record-keeping and reporting systems and our most common sources of revenue and expenses.
In phase one of the project, you'll migrate our data over to QuickBooks Online and help us set up our account administrator privileges for our users.
In the second phase of our project, you will provide one or two of our team members with basic training.
We ask that you make yourself available for up to three weeks to address our questions as we adjust to the new software and systems.

Our goal is to clearly map QuickBooks Online to IRS FORM 990 / 990 EZ for smooth reporting and compliance.
We would like to make robust use of QuickBooks Online rules.
Our standard month has 10 transactions total. This project is a priority because our previous method of accounting via manual entry into spreadsheet is no longer sustainable and is detracting from our ability to deliver on our charitable goal of supporting children with cancer. Successful implementation of this project would ensure our long term stability and adherence to the compliance demands required of 501(c)(3) organizations. This is a good investment of your volunteer time because we are a very low overhead non profit with committed volunteers who have never been unable to meet a request for assistance from a family since our inception in 2008. Your support here will have a direct impact on the life of a child with cancer. We've acquired a QuickBooks Online subscription.
We've had very basic training and have reviewed their guidelines on how to manage the system and run basic reports.
We will designate a member of our team who will manage the volunteer and the project.
The designated team member has experiencing using QuickBooks Online for a small for profit business.

Nonprofit Overview

The Sean Hanna Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity dedicated to fighting pediatric cancer and improving the lives of children with cancer. We fight to honor the life of Sean Hanna and the countless other children who have suffered from cancer.

The Foundation provides a comprehensive support network for families battling cancer and is actively engaged in research support to develop novel detection and treatment protocols to help kids get better and stay better.

We will expand the depth and range of support we provide to families and children. We will increase the funding we give to clinical research initiatives with the determination that we will one day put an end to all pediatric cancer.
