Celebrate Galentine’s Day by Supporting Women, Femmes, and Girls

In honor of Galentine’s Day—the holiday coined by Parks and Recreation’s Leslie Knope, an endearing overachiever and champion of girls everywhere—we’re taking a page from Leslie’s book and uplifting nonprofits that support women, femmes, and girls. These organizations each tackle gender inequity in unique ways—from encouraging girls’ participation in sports to building spaces for women to support each other’s mental healthand theyre all looking for skilled volunteers to better fulfill their missions.   • Social Media Strategy & Calendar: Women’s Wilderness creates a safe space for girls, women, and non-binary people of all ages and backgrounds to find their place in the outdoors. The organization is seeking a volunteer certified public accountant to complete the organization’s annual financial audit (budget $100,000) and ensure accurate representation of their financial status and performance.   • Email Template Design: Daring Girls supports mentoring and life skills programming to help girls in Tanzania gain knowledge, tools, and support to confidently design their own futures.
