Project Overview

We're seeking a volunteer to help us maximize our Google Ad Grant. This project will play a key role in our organization's ability to grow brand awareness and impact community members. This project may include the following activities:
-Development of or updates to our nonprofit's Google Ads strategy
-Training one or two staff members on how to update Google Ads and monitor their performance
-Setting up integration between Google Ads and Google Analytics
-Making recommendations for future search engine optimization or content management projects that will improve our Google Ads health

Our ideal volunteer has experience with Google Ads and/or search engine marketing and copywriting skills for keywords.Promly is a Gen Z informed new social ecosystem that brings kids together by their 20BY20 life goals and was built to be a better, safer, less extractive, and more empowering social connector for 13-19 year olds while also offering opportunities for financial literacy, internships, entrepreneurship, edtech, travel, language learning, advocacy, and most importantly, easy, seamless access to multiple avenues of built in mental health support through our own nonprofit as well as our many nonprofit partners so the average kid can get help in an environment that is naturally appealing to them given the platform’s opportunity to create genuine connections with other teens. To prepare, we have activated Google Ads for our website and secured a Google Ad Grant award. We are prepared to share the login credentials to our Google Workspace. In our first session together, we'll brief you on our marketing goals, as well as our mission, vision, and purpose. Your training of our team members on Google Ads best practices will help ensure the long-term successful implementation of the great work you share with us.

Nonprofit Overview

According to the CDC, 5400 kids (grades 7-12) attempt suicide daily in the US. Our goal at Promly is to be 10 steps ahead of teen suicide and the mental health crisis with a unique and strategic approach that combines social networking, mental health support, civic action, and real life action- all in one place. We have created a digital ecosystem that helps teens 13-19 -AI age gated) build real connectedness and find free 24/7 mental health support whenever they need it. We partner with other non-profits aimed at reaching the teen market through our digital platform. We also provide a publication site, The Promly ChangeMakers (www.promly.org), to amplify the GenZ voice, provide resources, and give students opportunities to shine through our promotion. We have the unique opportunity to also be active in DC policy making as we co-authored the kids Online Safety Act- adding "youth representation" to formal federal policy for the first time in US history.
