We are searching for a volunteer to assist us in consolidating templates, logos, and color schemes used to develop a brand guidelines for Queen City Robotics Alliance (QCRA) to have a consistent look and feel in multiple channels of communication to our students, families, volunteers, and sponsors.

Are you a creative professional with a passion for impactful design? QCRA (Quality Community Resource Association) is seeking skilled volunteers to help develop and refine our brand guidelines.

QCRA is a non-profit organization that promotes STEM careers by supporting youth robotics teams. Join us and let your creativity make a lasting impact!

We have copies of our current Logo in different formats. From the application standpoint, we have a few frequently used letterheads, slide templates, and many social media postings and communication to be used as benchmarks to develop formal guidelines. In addition, we use Canva to develop most of our publications and we utilize its functions to be as consistent as possible.

We like to use the NASA Space Apps brand guide as the benchmark to develop our guidelines. Once developed, it will be shared via our Intranet for all staff and volunteers to use as a reference to enforce the same look and feel in our communication.

Nonprofit Overview

Our Mission is "Nurturing the future workforce by providing practical and hands-on STEM experiences for local youth."

Charlotte was ranked as the 50th of 50 large cities in an economics mobility study back in 2014 by Dr. Raj Chetty. The subsequent research led by Opportunity Insights, its latest Charlotte Opportunity Initiative report was released in November 2020 shows the challenge remains significant.

At the same time, the demand for the skill trade and STEM professionals keep increasing. The data is showing that we have the “Lost Einsteins” problem that youth of certain groups never get enough help to reach their fullest potential.

We believe STEM professions are an important part of the solution to improve economic mobility. It is critical to help students, at least in high school, if not earlier, to picture themselves in STEM careers. It is our responsibility to create a safe environment to help them to explore their interests, strength, and passion through project based learning.

Our teams are using the FIRST robotics program where students build robots to compete in team events. This is a sport “where everyone can turn pro”. Each team is run like a business and it is way beyond robots. We need all skills. Are you skilled in writing, marketing, event planning, design, wiring, coding, 3D modeling? We need you.
