Project Overview
Veteran Service Organization is seeking a qualified volunteer to advise on adding grant tracking and nonprofit gaming accounting to our established bookkeeping department. This volunteer will also conduct our initial financial audit, which is necessary for most grant applications. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
Further advice that will be needed: We are a national organization dba HVA Social. As we mature we will incorporate HVA Social as a separate 501c3 in each state.
1. What are the pros and cons of managing both the National and State associations' bookkeeping at the National level?
2. What other legal, practical, and reporting considerations are there at both State and Federal levels?

We could use your help. Credit for accomplishments given on website and LinkedIn.Our books are balanced, gross income over the 3-year development period is less than $75,000, with approx. 1/3 of that donated by Board members, with the remainder coming from Walmart community grants and some change. Our FCO/Bookkeeper will provide the necessary documents to the volunteer. Our Founder/COO and CFO and CEO will be available for the expansion-related conversations. Will recruit pro bono atty. to assist if necessary.

Handicapped Veterans Association (HVA) is a unique Veterans Service Organization and Third Party Survey Provider.*
Our mission is to:
Build Community - Address Veteran Suicide - Help Solve Healthcare Problems.
Our Stakeholders are:
-US Military Veterans rated 30% or more disabled by the Veterans Administration that are followed in VA Clinics
-Affiliated Veteran Service Organizations
-Individual VA Clinics.
Affiliated VSOs and VA Clinics share in management of the project through a seat on the Board of Directors.
Our Third Party Survey mechanism and delivery system is a HIPPA compliant, member based social/advocacy website. A separate site is planned for each State and US Territory as the project matures.

Solving Healthcare Problems
HVA identifies problems through web based polls and forums
Members:
Vote in their VA Clinic’s ‘How Was Your Day at the VA?’ poll
Give an ‘atta-boy to a VA employee, or Clinic
Discuss health care problems with others from the same clinic.
Request advocacy under the Member Initiated Reporting Process (MIRP)
The MIRP process is managed by elected representatives from each Stakeholder type, and begins with a courtesy call between a HVA Member Rep and the Clinic’s Patient Rep.
In all, HVA offers its Stakeholders a new and exciting place for Members to meet and interact privately, and a vital management resource to assist the VA in solving healthcare problems and Veteran suicide.
