Project Overview

The African American Diabetes Association (AADA) seeks a volunteer to develop a comprehensive volunteer recruitment plan.

Our organization is committed to recruiting mission-driven leaders to support our nonprofit's goals. We are specifically looking for volunteers to assist in recruiting students and retired individuals for key volunteer positions.

Project Responsibilities:
-Identify vacant volunteer roles in collaboration with organizational leadership.

-Develop an inclusive recruitment strategy that outlines clear tactics for reaching diverse candidates who align with our community and organizational needs.
-Finalize the recruitment strategy based on feedback from relevant team members.

We are looking for a volunteer with strong organizational, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills.

The volunteer will help develop a comprehensive recruitment plan, that will expand our impact and reach more individuals affected by diabetes, the African American Diabetes Association is committed to building a strong volunteer corps. We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to help us develop a comprehensive recruitment strategy focused on engaging students and retired individuals for key volunteer positions. AADA believes that a well-crafted recruitment plan is essential for us to better identify and attract passionate individuals who share our mission. By developing a strategic approach, we can effectively tap into a wider pool of potential volunteers and build a diverse team capable of driving our organization forward.

We will designate a team member to lead the project and work with the volunteer. We will also prepare members of our Board of Directors so they are aware of the project. We'll provide you with relevant information about our stakeholders and a background briefing on our programs, mission, vision, and purpose. The African American Diabetes Association (AADA) is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit 501c3 tax exemption organization that seeks to educate African Americans and the general public about diabetes. We are a new and emerging organization playing a key role in delivering education. community engagement, access care, and social safety nets in our neighborhoods and communities. We work to confront systemic racism and bias and improve diabetes education, community engagement, and health equity for all.

We work to assist those impacted to manage and prevent diabetes (including type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, and pre-diabetes). AADA is passionate, serious, and committed to diabetes prevention and educational programs that work to end health disparities. We advocate for African Americans affected by diabetic conditions and empower African Americans to maximize their quality of life and raise public consciousness.
