Project Overview
Preservation Quest is seeking a volunteer experienced in web development to implement a desktop website that has been mocked up, drafted, and is end-to-end complete in Figma.
Having a website that goes beyond being a virtual "business card" will mean not only can we launch, but we can communicate the projects, initiatives, and efforts we've been creating. These run the gambit of preserving video games to creating medical video game systems to help people the world over!
We've two full-time Artist/Graphic Designers who will be available to provide final assets for the website at your discretion. Our Web Designer will be acting as reference and will provide input as necessary. However we won't forget that you're the expert, and that will be respected above all else.
Nonprofit Overview
Our mission is to save every video game. Ever.
We don't mean just the games, but the stories of how video games have impacted children, and adults in forms unique to countries like Brazil, Nigeria, New Zealand, the US, and the world.
They also alleviate pain, suffering, and have the ability to vastly improve the lives of people no matter their race or creed. Take third degree burns for example, a condition so traumatic that "few injuries involve more painful and numerous procedures than severe burns."
However "[...] adding immersive VR to opioids resulted in significantly more reduction in pain [...] than opioids alone [...]" https://tinyurl.com/vgpainstudy
"I think one kid described it best, ‘[... the pain is] just white noise.’ He said [while having the dressings on his burns changed.] ‘I wasn’t thinking about anything, I was just shooting snowballs.’ "

Help us save not only the video games that have had such a profound effect on cultures the world over, but to also use them to bring hope, joy, and relief to people who need it the most.
