Grant Sourcing And Writing Assistance
Veteran Retreats Foundation (VRF) is seeking experienced grant writers to help secure funding for our Veterans Treatment Fellowship Retreats. These holistic, peer-to-peer retreats provide veterans and active military personnel with alternative healing modalities, outdoor therapy, and a structured support network to address PTSD, substance abuse, and mental health challenges.
A skilled volunteer will assist us in:
- Identifying relevant grants and funding opportunities aligned with our mission
- Writing compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry
- Tracking applications and reporting progress
Your expertise will directly support VRF’s goal of expanding our retreat program in 2025. With over 100 veterans on our waitlist, securing funding is critical to scaling our impact.
We are proud to be credentialed by the Veterans Treatment Court, and we have the active support of the local mayor of Tennessee and a U.S. Congressman, which reinforces our mission and the urgency of our work.
VRF’s mission is to restore the well-being of veterans through immersive, therapeutic retreats. Our program provides a structured and supportive environment where veterans can heal from the psychological and emotional wounds of service.
- Addressing PTSD and substance abuse: With 22 veteran suicides per day in the U.S., our work is critical in providing life-saving interventions.
- Fostering lifelong support networks: Veterans leave our retreats with renewed hope, practical coping tools, and a community of peers who understand their struggles.
- Removing financial barriers: Every dollar secured through grant funding ensures that veterans can participate at no cost, eliminating financial constraints to accessing healing programs.
Your expertise in grant writing will help us bring these life-changing retreats to more veterans in need. Join us in making a real impact!
To ensure this project’s success, VRF has:
- Clearly defined funding needs: We have detailed program costs, required grant amounts, and strategic funding priorities for 2025.
- A history of impact: Data from past retreats shows that 70-85% of participants remain engaged in peer support networks, proving the long-term effectiveness of our model.
- Established partnerships: We collaborate with the Montgomery County Veterans Treatment Court, which refers veterans in need of rehabilitation services.
- Community and political backing: We are honored to have the support of the local mayor in Tennessee and a Congressman, who recognize the essential service we provide to veterans.
- A dedicated team: Our leadership and volunteers are committed to supporting the grant writing process by providing necessary program details, budget breakdowns, and organizational materials.
- Readiness for implementation: Funds secured through grants will be immediately allocated to retreat operations, directly benefiting veterans seeking mental health support.
With a clear vision and strong organizational support, our volunteer grant writer will have the tools needed to succeed.
