Graphic Designer for Powerful Visual Storytelling
Help Advance Biomedical and Life Sciences Through Powerful Visual Storytelling
We are seeking a volunteer graphic designer with a strong understanding of biological science imagery and the ability to abstract and accurately represent scientific concepts to support the creation of dynamic, visually engaging materials for our upcoming seasonal conference lineup announcement.
As a volunteer, you’ll:
• Collaborate with our marketing team to design promotional graphics that reflect the spirit and importance of our scientific gatherings
• Translate and create visual order amidst conference topic complexity to represent products in compelling, accurate, and accessible designs
• Abstract core scientific ideas and render them in clear, creative visual formats suitable for print and digital promotion
• Balance professionalism with creativity by infusing our visual materials with personality while maintaining a cohesive and credible brand identity
• Contribute your creative skills to a cause with real-world impact
• Join a passionate team that believes in the power of science to transform lives
Ideal candidates will have:
• A background in graphic design with a portfolio that includes science-related or technical visuals
• Familiarity with biological or biomedical imagery (microscopy, molecular structures, anatomy, etc.)
• The ability to distill complex scientific ideas into clear visual representations without compromising accuracy
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent design tools
• A collaborative spirit and belief in the importance of scientific progress
As a mission-driven organization, we serve as a catalyst for the advancement of biomedical and life sciences by connecting scientists across disciplines. Our conferences and workshops—held at venues that foster information exchange and the generation of new ideas—are a crucial part of accelerating scientific discovery that benefits society.
Now, more than ever, science needs champions. With reliable funding under threat and public trust in science challenged, we remain committed to creating spaces where researchers can come together in person to share insights, spark collaborations, and drive innovation.
Your contribution will help ensure our conference season reaches the scientists, educators, and visionaries who depend on these gatherings to push boundaries and explore new frontiers.
Join us in keeping science connected, collaborative, and courageous.
We have existing materials from which to springboard, through conversation and brainstorming and then implementation. Our team has a vision for the direction we'd like to go - we need an expert to help guide and implement that direction.
