As our organization grows, so does our need for skilled, compassionate volunteers who can help us advance our mission of increasing health literacy and mental wellness in the communities we serve. We are seeking support from experienced HR professionals to develop a comprehensive volunteer recruitment strategy tailored to our volunteer needs. This includes identifying key volunteer roles, outlining outreach and engagement tactics, and producing a clear, actionable recruitment plan to guide our efforts going forward.

Volunteers are essential to expanding our reach and deepening impact. By helping us build a strong, sustainable recruitment strategy, you're directly contributing to our mission: empowering individuals with the knowledge and support they need to make informed health decisions and strengthen their mental well-being. The stronger our volunteer network, the greater our collective impact!

Our internal team has outlined the core volunteer roles and needs across our programs and is ready to collaborate with an HR professional who brings experience in talent acquisition, pipeline building, and/or strategic recruitment. We'll manage timelines, provide access to current resources, and ensure regular check-ins to support a smooth and focused project process. Once the strategy is developed, our team will utilize it to fill organizational gaps and engage people interested in supporting our work as volunteers.

The Healthcare Navigation Project is an independent 501(c)(3) intentionally designed to disrupt our complex healthcare system with a health literacy and mental health life-skills program for ALL youth transitioning to adult care (HCT), and everyone else. This includes rare or chronic disease, underserved communities, or those with educational disabilities. We bridge the gap in healthcare by empowering all people to learn to actually use healthcare and self-advocate before they need it instead of after when it's too late. We empower people.
