Messagaing And Communications Support
Project Overview:
We would like a skilled volunteer to assist us with refining our brand messaging, marketing collateral, and digital strategy in preparation for our signature events and fundraising campaigns, including our 56th Annual Ted Rhodes Golf Classic, Ted Rhodes Junior Golf Tour, and our inaugural Corporate Challenge.
Specific Tasks:
Review and enhance our current marketing materials (flyers, social media graphics, email templates)
Develop a messaging guide that captures the Foundation’s mission, impact, and programming in a compelling, consistent voice
Provide guidance on email marketing strategy for donor and community engagement
Help create a basic social media content calendar with suggested posts leading up to our events
If possible, provide recommendations for improving our website messaging and donation page layout
This support will help us better communicate the impact of our work, strengthen donor relationships, and increase community engagement during a critical period for fundraising and visibility.
Your work will directly support our Future Golfers of America – Growing the Champions of Tomorrow initiative, which introduces the sport to youth who traditionally lack access. Through golf, we teach life skills, discipline, career readiness, and build confidence in the next generation.
As our Marketing & Communications Volunteer, your contributions will help us:
Promote our annual golf tournaments and youth programs
Reach new audiences across digital and print platforms
Strengthen our fundraising efforts, enabling us to serve even more kids
Celebrate the legacy of golf pioneer Ted Rhodes, whose story inspires perseverance and excellence
Your time and talent will help us not just reach more people—but change more lives. Together, we can open doors of opportunity, one swing at a time.
We’ve already taken several preparatory steps to ensure a smooth and productive engagement:
Internal Buy-In: Our board members and program leads are enthusiastic about strengthening our communications and will provide timely feedback and approvals as needed.
Materials Ready: We have a library of existing materials (event flyers, program descriptions, social media handles, photos, and past messaging examples) ready to share so the volunteer can hit the ground running.
Clear Implementation Plan: We have designated a point person from our team to work directly with the volunteer, ensure consistent communication, and carry out recommendations. The outcomes of this project will directly feed into our promotional efforts for two major events and our year-round donor communications.
We are organized, responsive, and deeply committed to putting the outcomes of this project to work immediately to enhance the reach and sustainability of the Ted Rhodes Foundation.
