Wave Accounting Systems Set Up

We’re looking for a skilled accounting or finance volunteer to help us set up and organize our nonprofit’s financial system using Wave (free nonprofit-friendly accounting software). The ideal outcome is a clean, functional bookkeeping structure with basic categories, templates for expense tracking, donor reporting, and budgeting. Bonus if the volunteer can train our team on how to maintain it going forward

At Village Against Violence, we work every day to support youth and families in Richmond, Virginia. From free tutoring and mentorship to summer camps, diapers, Narcan, and emergency support, our programs reach some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

But none of it works without structure behind the scenes. We’re growing quickly, and we need help getting our finances organized so we can continue to expand and apply for more funding.

We’re looking for a skilled volunteer to help us set up our nonprofit accounting system using Wave, a free and user-friendly platform. With your help, we’ll be able to clearly track donations, manage expenses, prepare for audits, and create reports for future grants.

This project directly supports our mission by helping us stay accountable and organized, which means we can reach more families, serve more youth, and grow our impact with confidence.

We've acquired a new accounting software. We've had very basic training and have reviewed their guidelines on how to manage the system and run basic reports. We will designate a member of our team who will manage the volunteer and the project.
