We’re excited to expand our communications by moving from one central email system to individualized newsletters for each of our regional chapters - a big step for us toward deeper community connection and engagement!

To support this rollout, we’re looking for a creative volunteer to help us design branded email headers and templates that can be easily replicated across regions. Specifically, we’d love assistance creating 10–15 email headers, each customized with the appropriate regional logo.

We use Pinwheel, our CRM platform, which functions similarly to Mailchimp with drag-and-drop capabilities (though it’s a bit less flexible). Our goal is to ensure each region has a visually cohesive, branded email presence that’s easy to implement and consistent with our overall look and feel.

Your work will help us elevate our outreach, strengthen local identity, and stay connected with the families and volunteers who make Girls in Gear possible.

Girls in Gear is growing fast! We’ve spent years refining our all-abilities programs, and now we’re expanding into more communities across the country. To support that growth, we’re strengthening how we communicate with our network of families, volunteers, and supporters.

By helping us create branded, region-specific email templates, you’ll play a key role in increasing open rates, improving engagement, and inspiring more donations - all of which directly leads to more girls served. Better communication means more girls gaining the tools to grow into strong, confident leaders.

-Our full suite of brand assets - including fonts, color palette, and logos for each regional chapter
-A library of high-resolution photos of our riders in action
-Access to our Canva account, where templates can be built, shared, and easily updated by our team

Organization Mission

Girls in Gear emboldens girls of all ages and abilities, especially low-income girls and girls of color, by using bike skills to foster confidence, autonomy, and independence. Our programs - Pedal Power, Club GiG, Glide-to-Ride, and Camp GiG - offer safe, inclusive spaces for growth, focusing on life skills beyond biking. With a no-questions-asked scholarship policy, we remove barriers by providing bikes, helmets, and financial support, ensuring every girl has the opportunity to thrive. Learn more at girlsingear.org.
