Luena Foundation is seeking a skilled volunteer to help us strategically recruit 2–3 new board members with fundraising experience, global development expertise, or nonprofit governance skills. We’d like support identifying board needs, refining role descriptions, developing a compelling outreach strategy, and sourcing/reviewing qualified candidates. If possible, we also welcome guidance on inclusive recruitment best practices.

At Luena Foundation, we support grassroots organizations that protect, educate, and uplift vulnerable children. But to grow our impact, we need stronger leadership at the board level...especially in fundraising and governance. That’s where you come in. With your help, we can expand our donor base, fund more local projects, and reach even more children who need us. Your expertise could be a game-changer.

The co-founders (Emily & Ryan Rauch) are fully committed to this effort and will serve as the main points of contact throughout the engagement with a Taproot skilled volunteer. We’ve already secured buy-in from our current board and together have identified clear priorities for growth, including the need for members with fundraising expertise, nonprofit governance experience, and global development insight. In preparation, we have compiled background materials, such as our mission/pitch deck and 2024 Annual Report.
