We're seeking a website audit professional who can assess our website's technical performance, structure, and content to identify areas for improvement in SEO, usability, mobile readiness and security. Based on the audit, the auditor needs to provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance the website's visibility, user experience, and overall effectiveness.

At Special Needs In My City, we’re dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with developmental challenges throughout California’s Central Valley, and we’re excited to invite exceptional volunteers to help us take our mission to the next level.

Special Needs In My City utilizes the WordPress platform.

We'll begin with a briefing session, where our team will share our goals and outline our target audiences, as well as what we aim to achieve through our website. We'll collaborate to define our next steps and set a timeline.
Next time we meet, you'll provide us with some of your initial insights and high-level feedback.

We'll have additional feedback for you as well. When your analysis is complete, you'll deliver a short presentation to our team with your recommendations and give us a document of your recommended tactics and updates.

Our ideal volunteer will have experience in examining various aspects of our website, including its structure, content, design, functionality, and user experience. analytics, web design and marketing.

This project will NOT include:
-Website design
-Website development/coding
-Development of a content marketing strategy

In a County with over 15,000 children with special needs, your work will positively and directly impact thousands of special needs families who need access to information in a more efficient and comprehensive manner.

Your expertise, commitment and dedication to this project will help us offer more services to special needs families in neighboring cities and counties.

To prepare for the project, we will provide you information about our target audiences and audit goals and measurable outcomes. We will provide access to the back-end of our website as well.

Furthermore, we will have a dedicated member of our team who will be responsible for supporting you throughout the project.

We hope to take your recommendations from the audit to help us decide how to implement a more robust website for our families.

We have enjoyed working with Taproot volunteers before on projects relating to our organizational needs and we hope to find a expert volunteer with website auditing experience.
