We are looking to work with a skilled volunteer to develop an effective fundraising strategy
Help KARA Fundraise and Change Lives
Each year, thousands of abused and neglected children go unseen, their stories untold in courtrooms, homes, and statehouses. KARA was founded by passionate CASA volunteers who witnessed this silence firsthand—a silence they refused to accept. They built KARA to give these children a voice, supporting not just direct advocacy, but also public education, legislative outreach, and tools for real change.

KARA’s efforts have already made a difference: from saving Minnesota’s volunteer CASA program from being eliminated, to running peer support groups for at-risk youth and young mothers, to providing resources that help lawmakers and judges better protect children. Even as funding and public attention waver, KARA has remained an all-volunteer nonprofit—powered by people like you.

But the need is growing. Today, more children are left without advocates, as volunteer programs are underfunded and the challenges facing child protection have only increased. That’s where you come in. By helping KARA fundraise, you’ll be fueling outreach campaigns, rebuilding vital volunteer programs, and providing hope to the children who need it most.

If you want to use your skills to make a lasting difference—connecting donors, spreading awareness, and helping at-risk kids find their voice—join KARA’s fundraising team. Every hour you give can help save a child from being invisible. KARA needs you. And so do the kids.
KARA is developing 2 national projects, we have 25 years of history, multiple social media platforms and a great need in the community to save and heal at risk children and families we advocate for.
