Design FileMaker database(s) tailored to Canyon Cinema Foundation's collections and migrate collection records from the current system into FileMaker using example templates from peer organizations as blueprints. Specific field mapping, scope, and steps will be defined with volunteers during interviews.
Moving the collections into a modern FileMaker system will help preserve and provide reliable access to our rare film collection, making it easier to share materials with universities and cultural organizations, support scholarship, and broaden appreciation of artist-made cinema.
We can provide example FileMaker templates from similar organizations to use as a starting point. Volunteers will collaborate with our staff to define requirements, map fields, and agree on an import/migration plan. Details, access, and acceptance criteria will be provided during volunteer interviews.
