We are developing an integrated childcare and workforce development model in Harlem that combines nontraditional-hour childcare and family support with workforce training pathways, including a Childcare Aide/CDA professional development pathway. These ideas currently exist as program concepts but are not yet documented as a coherent, funder-ready and implementation-ready program structure. We lack a single, organized program model that specifies target participants and eligibility, service components, participant pathways, staffing considerations, partnership roles, measurable outcomes, and a phased implementation framework.
We are looking for a volunteer with Program Design expertise to translate our concepts into a clear, funder-ready, and implementation-ready program model. The volunteer will:
- Produce a documented program model that defines target participants and eligibility, core service components (nontraditional-hour childcare, family supports, workforce training), and the Childcare Aide/CDA professional development pathway.
- Create a participant pathway map that sequences intake, service delivery, training milestones, credential attainment, and typical participant outcomes.
- Provide staffing and partnership recommendations that identify key roles, an illustrative staffing model, and the types of community or employer partners needed with suggested engagement roles.
- Define measurable outcomes and recommended indicators, plus a basic approach for tracking and evaluating those outcomes.
- Deliver a practical implementation framework with phased activities, sequencing and major milestones, and high-level resource and readiness considerations to guide an initial rollout.
