I recently launched Re:Force (https://reforceusa.com), a benefit corporation addressing staffing shortages in healthcare, education, and social services. Our mission is to build a “service-force” of individuals who may not typically consider frontline roles—such as EMTs or substitute teachers—but are willing to serve alongside their current responsibilities.

We focus on engaging people who are already employed (e.g., office professionals) or have other obligations (e.g., caregivers), offering opportunities that are more meaningful than volunteering but less demanding than part-time employment. Re:Force is a one-stop platform to explore interest, receive training, and be matched with the right service role.

Our biggest challenge is effectively messaging and marketing this new model. I’m seeking support from professionals with expertise in marketing, communications, and brand strategy to help craft a compelling narrative and outreach plan.

Organization Mission

Re:Force is dedicated to tackling the staffing shortages in the healthcare, education, and social assistance sectors. We target individuals who typically do not see themselves in patient- or student-facing roles. By tapping into previously overlooked talent pools, Re:Force will establish a new paid “service-force” dedicated to filling essential frontline roles alongside their primary role or career, much like a “Reserve Medical Corps” or “National Guard of Educators”. Re:Force works with frontline organizations in partnership with state and local governments to identify crucial roles that are unfilled, require minimal training, and can accommodate flexible schedules (e.g., EMTs). We will bring an entirely new cohort of individuals into service, filling these essential frontline roles. We will target full-time employees, part-time or seasonal employees, and non traditional workers, such as college students, parents, and retirees, positioning Re:Force as a sustainable model to serve while maintaining a primary job or role. Re:Force empowers individuals to succeed and make a difference in patient- or student-facing roles by providing a clear, step-by-step pathway from choosing a service role to securing placement. It addresses barriers such as training costs and helps integrate the service role into the individual’s weekly schedule, coordinating with their primary employer as necessary.
