Legacy Paws Rescue is looking for a fundraising consultant to build three practical tools with our Executive Director, then hand them off so our team can run them on our own.

We're building a different kind of rescue, focused on prevention, education, and supporting both ends of the leash. Right now our fundraising happens in bursts, usually when something urgent comes up. You'd be building the structure that makes it steady and planned, so people always know how they can be part of what we're doing.

1. Annual fundraising calendar. A 12-month plan of campaigns, events, and giving days, with who owns each one and when it launches.
2. 48-hour thank-you and receipt process. A repeatable workflow so every donor gets a personal thank-you and tax receipt within two days, including how we handle Facebook and PayPal Giving Fund donors.
3. Campaign tracking and report template. One place to log campaign goals, dollars raised, and what worked, plus a short report for our board and supporters. This tracks campaign-level results. Individual donor records will live in a separate donor database project.

What "done" looks like
All three tools built, handed off, and walked through with our team. Simple enough for a volunteer to run without a training manual.

Timeline: 6 to 8 weeks

Tools we use: Zeffy, Facebook Fundraisers, PayPal Giving Fund, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks.

Someone experienced in nonprofit fundraising or development operations who turns creative energy into systems that actually get used.

At Legacy Paws, our mission is to create a community of kindness through education, prevention, and rescue. We believe the best way to change the lives of dogs is not only to rescue them when they are in crisis, but to help prevent that crisis whenever possible. We educate people about how dogs think, communicate, learn, and experience the world, while providing practical support and resources to help people and dogs succeed together. When rescue is needed, we step in for the dogs who have nowhere else to turn—especially those who are overlooked because of age, medical needs, trauma, or circumstances beyond their control. Everything we do comes back to one belief: Healing and learning happens on both ends of the leash. Rescue isn’t where we end. It’s where we begin.
